About Me

I am a licensed acupuncturist, passionate and dedicated herbalist, a wanderlust, hobby writer and dog lover.

My journey to Chinese Medicine began as a child, seeking a day without sitting in the school nurse’s office. Having grown up with exposure to ayurveda, homeopathy and acupressure/reflexology, trying Chinese Medicine felt natural.

Along the way, I picked up a bachelors from UCLA in English Literature, Creative Writing and followed the pre-med tract, with medical school in mind. After graduating early, I worked in the Silicon Valley for a health tech company in product design, only to revisit my childhood calling to holistic healing. I soon began studying at Five Branches University in San Jose, CA for my MSTCM.

In addition to my ongoing self-study in herbal medicine, I followed Five Branches professors who specialize in women’s health and fertility, sports medicine as well as psycho-emotional disease. Outside of school, I interned at Boho Family Wellness with Mia Blomquist, a dear friend, mentor and healer, to cement my understanding in these areas, and at the Holistic Health Center with Hide Minami, who comes from one of the oldest lines of Japanese practitioners, for training in preventive medicine, digestive health and chemotherapy support.

My grandmother inspired me to pursue a certificate from John Boel in Copenhagen, Denmark to care for degenerative eye diseases and low-vision disorders. I am pleased to have returned some vision to my grandmother’s right eye. I recently studied with Andy Rosenfarb in Charlotte, NC to deepen my learning.

I feel blessed to have been taken under so many people’s wings and wish to be the best I can for you.
